Potential Career Options**

Electrical Technicians

Electrical Technicians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, and factories. They also read blueprints, which include technical diagrams of electrical systems that show the location of circuits, outlets, and other equipment.

Telecom Equipment Installer/ Repairer

Telecommunications equipment installers and repairers, also known as telecom technicians, set up and maintain devices or equipment that carry communications signals, such as telephone lines and Internet routers. These workers use many different tools to inspect equipment and diagnose problems. For instance, to locate distortions in signals, they may employ spectrum analyzers and polarity probes.

*The Electrical program prepares students for entry level careers within the electrical field such as Electrical and Electronics Installers and Repairers .This program does not prepare students to take the electrician licensing exam. Although the information taught in this program may be helpful, it does not prepare students to become a licensed electrician.

NC-SARA

NC-SARA

Miller Motte College located in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Miller Motte College branch campuses have been approved by the State of Tennessee to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of post-secondary distance education.

Miller-Motte College is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility.

Miller-Motte College is licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is not an accrediting agency. The College is approved by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to conduct associate of applied science degrees in Dental Assisting.
